Thousands of people turned out for Hawaii Foodbank's largest distribution event amid the ongoing shutdown.

The event, held at Aloha Stadium, provided food to those facing food insecurity due to the economic impacts of the shutdown.

Participants waited in long lines to receive a variety of food items, including fresh produce, frozen meat, and canned goods.

The event aimed to address the increasing need for food assistance in the community during these challenging times.
